Why the fish?

4/10/2023

Look at the fish. Mentally note the three parts - the circle and the two diagonal lines. We will call the line that starts on the upper left and goes down diagonally line a and the line that starts on the lower left and goes up line b. We can then see how the fish is really qdbp in disguise.

q - rotate the fish 135° counterclockwise and remove line b

d - rotate the fish 135° clockwise and remove line a

b - rotate the fish 45° clockwise and remove line b

p - rotate the fish 45° counterclockwise and remove line a

Shoutout to my friend Cole for drawing up the fish.

On a meta note, I chose this as the first topic of this blog intentionally to set the tone for remaining posts. Some posts will be more technical — language use cases, announcements, etc. Others, like this one, will be less. Some will be short and to the point like this one, and others will be longer and more in depth. Like the fish, they all will be at least tangentially related to qdbp.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more qdbp content!
